Some 20 units at one Bangkok condo were sold during a recent property exhibition in Yangon, Myanmar.
The exhibition was a collaboration between Bangkok real estate firm Angel Real Estate and Myanmar’s IMyanmarHouse.
IMyanmarHouse Founder, Nay Min Thu, told reporters: “Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and China are our top-priority countries since they have close trading relations with Myanmar.”
The partnership with Thailand’s Angel Real Estate will include cross-promotion of new property projects from both countries.
To date there have been very few Myanmar property exhibitions in Bangkok, mainly due to the lack of supply of new projects in major cities.
The first event as part of this deal saw sales of 20 units at Plum 89 (pictured), a Bangkok condo from developer Pruksa that, strangely, appears to have been completed four years ago.
The 3,000+ unit Bangkok condo development is 480 metres from Bangkok’s On Nut BTS station, and research conducted by ThailandProperty.News has discovered the current price tag for units for rent range between THB 5,000 and THB 8,000 per month.
IMyanmarHouse said this is the first time an overseas condo project has been marketed and sold to Myanmar customers on a large scale.
Last year ThailandProperty.News reported how Singapore agency SQFT Global Properties held a series of successful property exhibitions in Myanmar featuring Bangkok properties.
