Bangkok was again the most popular city being exhibited in Hong Kong last weekend, highlighting the push for more overseas real estate buyers by Thailand’s property developers.
Data from the Soho Property App revealed that more than 20 percent of the 44 property being showcased in Hong Kong over the weekend of October 20/21 came from Bangkok.
Together with Malaysia and the United Kingdom, this represented 66 percent of all property being exhibited in Hong Kong.
Locations that were exhibited in Hong Kong last weekend included Auckland, Birmingham, Brisbane, Dubai, Glasgow, Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, Kyoto, Liverpool, London, Manchester, New York, Osaka, Penang, Taipei, Toronto, Vancouver and Yangon.
Clearly Thailand developers need to sell more than just their project in the face of substantial competition; they need to sell Thailand and all it has to offer too.
Eli McGeever, publisher of the data, said: “A number of new entrants exhibited overseas property projects over the weekend and several new destinations have also featured in the previous weeks.”
“However, there is a learning, education period for new destinations to be exhibited consistently, and for sales deals to be closed.”
