Buying Thailand property with bitcoins isn’t something new but I think you’ll find it interesting.
This five-bedroom villa on the island of Koh Samui is available for US$ 850,000 (THB 28.1 million) or the bitcoin equivalent.
Located 150 metres from the beach, the fully-equipped ‘home away from home’ boasts a pool and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors.
A large rooftop terrace also forms an integral part of this Thai villa that sits five minutes from Ban Tai club beach with an amazing seaside restaurant and comfortable chairs.
The villa also provides a very good rental investment, according to the listing.
I first wrote about bitcoins being used to purchase property in Thailand some three or four years ago, but as the cryptocurrency becomes more mainstream I can only see them become more widely used, and accepted, as payment for Thai property and real estate.
