London property frenzy in Bangkok

London property developers are targeting Thailand at record levels. In the few weeks alone more than five separate London property shows have taken place in Bangkok, providing alternative investment opportunities for Thailand property investors – and competition for local real estate agents and developers.

Recent years have seen very occasional London property exhibitions, but with other Southeast Asian destinations, including Singapore and Hong Kong, providing British developers with lower levels of interest in British property investments, they are increasingly turning their attentions to second- and third-tier cities – including Bangkok.

This week Colliers International Thailand will become the latest agency to shine the spotlight on London property investment when it holds a UK residential property investment seminar at the St. Regis Hotel in Bangkok.

The event will feature properties from Taylor Wimpey Central London, one of the largest residential developers in the UK, with prices starting from £565,000 (THB 24.28 million) at four highlighted projects.

The event on Wednesday, September 6, will take place from 12pm until 2pm, and from 3pm until 5pm at the Decanter Room on 12th floor of the hotel.
