Listed Japanese real estate information company Lifull Co. Ltd. has accounted its intention to acquire 100 percent ownership of Australian-listed Mitula Group Limited.

Mitula Group is the owner of prominent Bangkok-based Dot Property Group and its associated property portals and media throughout Southeast Asia.

In a statement to the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Lifull said it is aggressively investing in Lifull Homes, one of the largest real estate information websites in Japan.

In November 2014, it acquired Trovit, a Spanish operator one of the world’s largest classifieds aggregator for real estate, cars and jobs.

To further expand its classifieds aggregator service worldwide, Lifull said it has agreed to acquire Mitula, itself a leading digital classifieds group operating classifieds vertical search, with more than 200 vertical search sites across property, employment, motoring and fashion and 10 property portals, in 54 different countries and 19 different languages.

The deal is expected to be finalised later this year.

Dot Property is not the only Thailand property portal to experience interest from Japan.

In October 2017 received what was reported as being undisclosed funding from Aucfan, a Japanese auction price analytics and search platform.
