The real estate sector in Thailand ranked second in terms of sectors with the most new businesses during August.
According to the public relations department of the Royal Thai Government, new company registrations last month reached more than 7,000.
The Ministry of Commerce noted it is confident that foreign investor sentiment is on the rise after a successful tour by Japanese private sector representatives.
Director-General of the Department of Business Development, Banjongjit Angsusingh, reported new business registrations reached 7,159 in August, up 15 percent year-on-year with registered capital of THB 47.35 billion.
The top five most registered businesses in the month were contracting, real estate, restaurants, transportation and consultancies.
During the past eight months, some 49,080 new businesses were registered in Thailand. The increase has been attributed to government measures including tax incentives and government megaprojects.
