Real estate in Thailand has been reported as being the most popular new business at the moment.

During November 2017, official data from Thailand’s Department of Business Development (DBD) showed an 8 percent rise year-on-year in the number of business registrations.

A total of 6,597 new business registrations were made last month. Real estate in Thailand took the number one slot, followed by general construction and gold trading.

For the entire year, the DBD estimated there will be a total of 70,000 new business registrations within Thailand.

The government agency reported 2,306 businesses closed during November 2017, with real estate in Thailand ranked as the second most-reported business to close.

This was behind construction companies but ahead of those involved with lottery sales.
