THAILAND EXCLUSIVE: Concerns surround the future of a U.K. student property investment that was showcased in Bangkok some four years ago.

The Paramount in the north west British city of Liverpool, was sold to Bangkok property buyers and investors with the promise of 9 percent guaranteed returns for five years.

Yesterday, local newspaper The Liverpool Echo published a story that questioned the continued viability of the project which remains mostly uncompleted some three years after its promised completion date.

ThailandProperty.News understands that more than 50 units at The Paramount were sold to Thailand-based buyers by Sincere Real Estate which handled a number of UK property exhibitions on behalf of the U.K. property developer Pinnacle MC Global.

The article reported that investors in U.K. student property The Paramount, including those from Hong Kong and China, are waiting to discover the fate of their investment.

Units at this U.K. student property investment were also sold in Singapore.
